Cal Heads To UC San Diego For PMRC Playoffs

Despite a tough league season this year, Cal Women’s Rugby has made it to the playoffs! The team will face UC San Diego this Saturday, March 26th. Chico Defeats Cal in Rematch

Cal made the trip up to Chico on Saturday, February 20th to play the Wildcats for the second time this season. With a home field advantage and momentum coming off of a surprising 36-17 upset win over Stanford on Feb. 13th, Chico overcame the Cal Bears for a 29-12 rematch victory. The Goff Rugby Report reviewed Cal’s narrow win over Chico State (27-22) on Sat. Jan. 30th, 2016. The win brought Cal to 1-1 so far in the PMRC West Division and a much needed improvement over Jan. 23rd’s loss to UC Davis.
